As minorities go, farm animals have it pretty tough. 

Not because we take them from their mothers when they are very young, or because we isolate them them in a cage for their entire lives, and not even when we inflict those final moments of fear when they watch their friends being slaughtered at an abattoir.

They have it tough because they have no voice to fight their cause.
