Thailand Bans Glyphosate…Sign This Gov't E-petition To Ban Glyphosate In Australia’s Public Spaces

Dav HowardRye, Australia
Oct 24, 2019

The Government of Thailand agreed this week to ban glyphosate, along with another herbicide paraquat and the insecticide chlorpyrifos.

Momentum against glyphosate is slowly mounting around the world, particularly across Europe.

If Thailand can ban glyphosate outright as of December 1 2019, and Germany can ban it outright as of the end of 2023, surely Australia can at least restrict its use in public spaces.

We have 20 days (until November 13) to get as many signatures as possible…

Here is what you need to do:

1. Please go to
https://www.aph.gov.au/petition_sign?id=EN1082
and sign the House of Reps petition.

2. Check your email inbox straight after you sign and click on the confirmation link (check your spam folder if it isn't in your inbox) - you must do this within 8 hours of signing the petition.

3. Please share this post, and/or the petition link and instructions, post in relevant Facebook Groups, reach out to like-minded businesses and community groups, and ask them to sign and share via email and on their social channels.

This could be the most important 27 days in Australian history in terms of the use of glyphosate in Australia and I have every confidence that we, as a collective, can change the course of history by following these simple steps.

Please spread the petition far and wide…then further still…
