Rabbits under the Domestic Animal Act in Victoria

This petition was started in 2014, and we have lobbied Government at each review since, to have pet rabbits protected under animal welfare laws, but to no avail!

This year, 2023, we are reactivating the petition, as an opportunity has come to  put this request to the Victorian Parliament through the Hon Georgie Purcell from the Animal Justice Party.  The Hon Georgie Purcell has already raised this matter in the Victorian Parliament and with the Minister for Agriculture. as they are currently reviewing animal welfare laws in Victoria.

Please share this petition as we need to finalise it by the end of July in time for it to be presented before the close of the sitting Parliament in August.
