Emergency Medical Response (EMR) for Trentham Victoria

Emergency Medical Response (EMR) for Trentham Victoria
The issue
Trentham is one of the fastest growing towns in the region. The town has a Police Station a CFA Station but what we don’t have is Emergency Medical Response (EMR in the town). The latest Data shows that for a Code 1 call (high priority) which could include cardiac arrest in the Hepburn shire the average wait time for an ambulance was 17:33 minutes and the below 15-minute time ambulance Victoria tries to reach for these calls was only meet 40%-50% of the time. That is why I am pushing for a community emergency response team (CERT) to be placed in Trentham. As our town grows more and more emergencies are going to happen. People might say but there is a CERT at Blackwood and yes there is but as they are all volunteers they are not always available to respond. Therefore, if there was a CERT in Trentham all surrounding towns would benefit including Trentham, Blackwood, Newbury, Lyonville, Little Hampton, North Blackwood, Springhill and all the other places located around. It would assist Blackwood CERT meaning both teams would be able to be backed up quickly in a life-threatening emergency if both teams are on duty when the call for help come through. I Have written to our local MP Mary-Anne the Emergency service minister James and the Health Minister Jill all from the Victorian Labor Government whom seem to not be interested in this important need for our small but growing community. I have also written to Amanda Millar Liberal for Macedon whom meet with me the week I wrote to her and she also wrote to the Shadow health minister. We Need Action and we need it now before it is to late.
