Following the fantastic announcement in WA the issue of pants and shorts for girls at school was back in the media. The Department of Education was asked about the issue in Victoria. They stated that girls should be able to choose attire that they can play sport in comfortably BUT also claimed that it is not a problem because MOST schools in Victoria already do offer choice for girls. I hear from families all over the state that tell me that this isn't true. It IS a problem. But I need DATA. And I need it in 1 week. GULP. I've been working on this for months but I'm still a long way off having all the data I need. So I'll get to the point. If I could get a few of you lovely people to research 10 schools each that would be a HUGE help. I'll send you a template with 10 schools (or you can do your local schools). All you need to do is look up the school uniform policy online and fill in the template. Basically yes or no responses to 'pants in winter' and 'shorts in summer' for girls.
