Off the back of this petition which is now over 1 year old, I have co-founded Girls' Uniform Agenda with Dr Amanda Mergler from QLD. We are an Australia wide group with representatives in VIC, QLD, NSW, TAS, SA and WA (still looking for ACT and NT reps if anyone is interested). We aim to: 1. Support parents and girls who seek to have uniform policy changes implemented in their schools 2. Encourage schools to recognise that girls require a range of suitable formal and informal uniform options, including shorts and long pants; and 3. Campaign for legislative and policy change in this area (this petition is coming in very handy for that).
