I wanted to say thank you really quick to you all for signing and sharing! This would not have been possible to do in 7 days without YOU! 
I also want to encourage you to continue sharing across your social media platforms and engaging your friends, family & co-workers on the importance of not letting this government give away another Crown Corporation that has been built with taxpayers money. 
As our petition hits signature milestones, I will share a brief story of a former Crown Corporation that has been privatized, starting with Air Canada.

Air Canada(AC) was founded in 1937 as Trans-Canada Air Lines. It was created by federal legislation as a subsidiary of another Crown Corporation, Canadian National Railways. It was created by government to secure passenger air travel from Atlantic communities to Pacific communities and vice versa. The name change to AC came in 1965 and has been operating as such ever since. 

The 80’s saw the Mulroney conservatives expressing the willingness to privatize many crown corps, including AC. By 1988 the wheels of privatizing AC were well underway and by 1989, the company was completely privatized.
