This is my letter to our reps. Don’t forget to write yours. Or use mine if you like. They vote tomorrow. 

“I know I can’t make you change your mind on H.57
But please take some time tonight and tomorrow to consider the significance of this bill. Consider why so many are pleading for a change in current federal abortion law.
Pro-life isn’t a religious agenda even though they tend to go hand in hand. Pro-life is about protecting the life of mother and child; before and after birth.
Pro-life supporters fight for a woman’s right to choose something other than death. The chance to afford the choice of adoption. The chance to afford the choice of carrying a child up to birth. The chance to afford the choice to care for a child as a single mother.

Pro-life is pro-choice. Every woman should have access to medical care that will do everything in its power to save both mother and child (whether the mother plans to keep the child or not) Women should have access to affordable child care when they choose to keep their child so they can also choose to keep their jobs and advance their careers. Women should be able to afford the choice of adoption when they can’t have a child of their own. Sacrificing the life of a child should only be an option after ALL efforts to save both mother and child have been made.

I know I can’t change your mind. But please don’t take your choice on this matter lightly. Lives depend on you and the choice you make tomorrow.”
