The Issue
Save the wolf!
More than 11 000 Norwegian hunters have registered for the chance to shoot 16 wolves, and that makes 763 hunters per wolf. This is wrong!
We need to take care of that little wildlife that is still here.
Just 1% of Norway is a so called "wolf zone" in which the animals are allowed to exist.
Only three litters a year are allowed. Once three pairs of wolves have bred, all the rest can be killed.
The government claim that this is necessary to protect livestock. The statistics disprove this.
1500 of the sheep, who are released onto public land without supervision, are killed by wolves. But around 100 000 sheep die from other reasons such as dissease.
So, if we watch this statistics it is wery clear that the wolf is not the main issue.
After this hunting season there will be only 14 wolves left. That is not enough to sustain their population.
