Wow!

After two interviews in the media, one on ITV a couple of weeks ago (early evening news) and today on Radio 5, I have decided that this will be the last update from this petition.

The UK Government have made some announcements recently that may go some way towards reducing teenage vaping but I do feel that it's a sticking plaster over a gaping wound.

The media coverage is reaching fever pitch and the UK Government is late to the party (shame they weren't late to the COVID Parties they attended) yet again.

What can you do?

  1. Speak to your Trading Standards people, they can be found via the Citizens Advice website
  2. Write to your local MPs, ask them to speak to local Trading Standards
  3. Look at the local shops around your area, see which ones are selling vapes openly, ask them to put vaping products in less prominent positions
  4. If you have children, understand that vapes are only £5 for 600 puffs (about 20 cigarettes worth).   Not all vapes are equal - understand the differences.
  5. Understand school policies on vaping

We've started this facebook group - Action Against Teenage Vaping - so we can add media references and guidance and support.

We want to thank everyone of you who has promoted this petition, funded some of it and followed the journey, we encourage every one of you to pick up the challenge - Let's get vaping products out of sight of young teenagers.

Thank you.
