A small victory for the Beach Avenue bike lane and park land along Beach Avenue.  The Park Board successfully pushed back against Mayor Ken Sim and  ABC Councillor's plans to remove the protected bike lane and pave over green space on Beach Avenue to widen the road from one lane to 2 lanes plus parking.

Thank you Park Board!

Please take a moment to share this petition again. We need the city staff to take action and calm traffic on our Local Street Bikeways.  Modal Filters (Basically posts/bollard, with an "Except Bicycles" sign) are a easy and inexpensive way to improve safety on local street bikeways.

The city could have a huge impact and calm the entire bike network using this method with no additional funding. This is a simple, low cost common sense solution that the Chief Engineer can direct staff to implement today.

Thanks for your continued support!

Adam
