Liquor license granted for Anheuser Busch

Vancouver City council met on January 17, 2018 and granted Anheuser Busch a liquor license for the Stanley Park Brewing operation. This is a precedent setting decision to commercialize and allow hitherto prohibited industrial manufacturing and retail sales of alcohol into all B.C. parks. The Park Board has abdicated their stewardship role in Stanley Park and is violating their own Heron buffer zone requirements by allowing the Anheuser Busch brew pub next to the at-risk Heron Colony. Naturally, we are all disappointed. However, our collective voices were heard. Vancouver City Council wants to implement a rarely used, but special "Community Liaison Committee' provision to monitor the activities of this development. We don't know exactly what this means yet, but believe it may help. Thank-you for signing the petition.
