Arrive early! If you can't make it, then please send a quick e-mail to the commissioners: "I support the motion to hold a whale plebiscite and to place a moratorium on the importation of more whales and dolphins into the Vancouver Aquarium" Park Board A historical vote will take place at the upcoming Monday night Park Board meeting. Should the city of Vancouver ask its residents if whales and dolphins belong in captivity in Stanley Park? If the Park commissioners vote in favour of this motion to hold a whale referendum, a plebiscite will take place in the next municipal elections...and chances are that a majority of Vancouverites would vote in favour of a ban on whale captivity.
