STAY TUNED! Two more weeks left before an historical Vancouver Park Board meeting takes place on Monday Jan.23rd, where a whale of a "notice of motion" will be discussed. On the table is a call for the city to hold a plebiscite in the next Vancouver elections in 2018, asking the public if we want the Vancouver Aquarium to bring more captive cetaceans or to instead phase out all performing cetacean exhibits. The second part of the motion asks the Aquarium to voluntarily self-impose a moratorium on the importation of more whales and dolphins for the next two years until the whale referendum vote has taken place and the public has given direction to both the Park Board and the Aquarium in regards to whale captivity issues. This is all very exciting and we'll keep you posted on what you can do to help. Meanwhile, make sure to watch this amazing 1 hr. long documentary exposing the Vancouver Aquarium's shenanigans with the Vancouver Park Board. NO NEW WHALES - NO NEW DOLPHINS! Thank you for helping save the whales!
