THIS IS GOOD NEWS! SeaWorld 's reputation took a hit in the wake of the release of the 2013 documentary "BlackFish," distributed by CNN. "BlackFish" highlighted the dangers of holding killer whales in captivity, focusing specifically on a SeaWorld orca that killed three people. Though SeaWorld has disputed points raised by the film, it announced this year that it will phase out killer whale shows because attendance has decreased. 15 years ago, the Vancouver Aquarium agreed to stop keeping orcas, but attendance didn't drop and now the Aquarium has more employees than ever! Go figure.
