As Canadians, It is important to remember that it was a former Vancouver Aquarium marine mammal trainer Christopher Porter (of Williams Lake, B.C. Canada) who started the capture of live dolphins in the Solomon Islands, having learned the trade while working for the Aquarium. Hundreds of dolphins were sold all over the world with the help of SeaWorld officials. Unfortunately, the trade has grown and Porter continues to be involved in it.
