The protest was a success! On Thursday, 10 protestors showed up at 8:30 am outside the Vancouver Aquarium to greet the 35 Conservative Senators and urge them to ban whale captivity in Canada by passing Senate Bill S-203. The Senators had been invited to visit the Aquarium as part of the Aquarium's lobby efforts to get the Senators to vote against Senate Bill S-203 when it comes up for third reading. If the bill is passed, it will automatically go to the Members of Parliament for a vote, and if a majority of MPs pass the bill, it will become law under the cruelty to animals act. In other words, it will become a criminal offence to keep performing cetaceans in Canada. Please help and gather signatures for this parliament petition. Thank you!
