Empty The Tanks 2016 This Saturday, say NO to the dolphin show! The 4th annual Empty The Tanks worldwide protests are being held on Saturday, May 7th in 60 different locations spanning across 22 countries. Help end the cruelty! Join us on Saturday at 11am outside the Vancouver Aquarium, or attend any of the other protests around the world. It is especially important to have a big protest this year, as the Vancouver Aquarium lawyers are busy trying to stop two strong initiatives: 1) a powerful and highly critical documentary titled "Vancouver Aquarium Uncovered"; and 2) Senator Wilfred Moore's Senate Bill to end whale and dolphin captivity in Canada, which has already gone through second reading. North Vancouver filmmaker Gary Charbonneau is currently defending himself in a highly controversial lawsuit by the Vancouver Aquarium in its efforts to try to shut down Gary's damning documentary Vancouver Aquarium Uncovered. Gary will participate in Saturday's Empty The Tanks protest, so come on down and give him a pat on the back because Gary is putting his neck on the line for the whales and we should all support him! Protestors will arriving from Vancouver Island and BC's interior to participate in this, the largest of Aquarium protests held every year since 2013, Vancouver Aquarium protestors will be calling for the Aquarium to drop the lawsuit and stop expansion plans to build larger show tanks to fill with more performing whales and dolphins.
