Last week I spoke to VPD about speed enforcement at this crosswalk. They explained to me that, due to the fact that this is not a high collision location, they can’t justify doing more enforcement. So, whenever there is a complaint about speeding, they will do a few speed traps and put up that sign for a few days, and that will be it. The key is to get the speed limit reduced to 30 km/h, and that is up to Vancouver City Council. I encourage all of you to reach out to Council and ask for this speed zone to be implemented.
