On January 26, 2015, 4 iBUYPOWER players threw an online match against NetcodeGuides. They were all banned from participating in Valve sponsored events. Valve clarified that the bans are permanent on January 5, 2016. It is time to relieve their punishments because, as a community, we wholeheartedly believe that all 4 players have deeply understood their mistakes and regret making the decision to throw a match. It might've been "fun and games" at first but it left a mark on their careers forever. However, players like Braxton "swag" Pierce, Joshua "steel" Nissan and Sam "DaZeD" Marine show their value and that they're still relevant by appearing in non-Valve sponsored events. If the organizers of non-Valve sponsored events allow them to compete and cast events then why should they be excluded from the bigger events? ESL already let DaZeD cast the Pro League matches and BeyondTheSummit and Fragadelphia let swag play and steel cast. I think it is time to review the decision to keep these players banned. Acceptance comes before forgiveness. The community has already accepted these players and now it is time to forgive them. Please Valve, the community is supporting swag, DaZeD and steel (and AZK, wherever he is right now). Furthermore, ESL let players like Emilio and KQLY play but not iBUYPOWER? Why are we letting ex-cheaters or alleged cheaters play but not people who had never cheated in their entire lives? This seems a bit outrageous. Please unban them.
