Updates to UW S/NS Policy

Hi all petition signers,

Today, the UW Registrar has sent out an email announcing new updates to the S/NS policy. To summarize, students have until the last day of the quarter to switch to the S/NS grading scale, giving students more time to switch than in previous, non-extraordinary circumstance quarters. However, the restrictions with S/NS still apply: satisfactory grades in courses do not count towards graduation requirements, they can only be counted as elective credits. 

While this is a step towards the right direction, I am sure many of us feel that satisfactory grades should count towards graduation requirements for this quarter due to the far from normal circumstances we are currently in. If that is the case for you, please consider sharing the petition. Unfortunately, UW admin will not be more accommodating unless there is more outcry from the student body. The more signatures, the better.
