In just 38 hours, more than 1,300 members of the UVU community, residents, alumni, and supporters alike have signed this petition to say clearly: a Charlie Kirk statue does not represent us. We are calling for UVU to create a memorial developed through a collaborative process. Together, we are showing that this campus values belonging, inclusion, and safety above partisanship.
Together, we can keep the momentum going. Legislators backing this statue have already raised over $83,000 and are moving quickly. Keep sharing this petition and talking to peers to ensure UVU knows the students and the community deserve to have a voice in this decision.
Finally, we respectfully request a meeting with President Tuminez to advocate on behalf of the UVU community. We love, support, and stand behind President Tuminez. We know she fights tirelessly for her students, and we are incredibly grateful to have her as our president.
Thank you to everyone who stands with us. Let’s keep going. Share this petition, and remind everyone what “You Belong” means to all of us.
