On December 15, 2017 was the day we were supposed to have our graduation at Brownsville on our beautiful campus. We have worked hard throughout our education to have reached this impressive goal. Unfortunately, the weather forecast stated that it was going to rain. Thus, UTRGV made it in McAllen. The purpose of this petition is to change the date to the following weekend so we can accomplish our dream of graduating at the Brownsville campus. It is not convenient to make arrangements to drive to McAllen and would rather just have it moved to keep it in our reach. That way, tickets can still be utilized and not have a first come first serve setting.
