Extend or remove WiFi data caps for UT undergrad students

Extend or remove WiFi data caps for UT undergrad students
The Issue
UT Austin grants its undergraduate students 1024 MBs (1 GB) of high speed internet/week over its public network. However, this data cap is archaic because many of us can consume 1 GB in a day if not a few hours.
The world-wide-web has become much richer in the last few years consuming more data and greater bandwidth than ever before through images, video, and other content important to students across campus and disciplines.
I propose that UT either increase its data cap to at least 10 GBs/week or eliminate the data cap entirely as the vast majority of students do not use excessive amounts of data that UT attempts to curb with the existing data cap.
