Good news

Dear All, may be many of you received the good news, that the U.S. House of Representatives has restored the cuts proposed by the Administration to the USGS Geomagnetism program and other Natural Hazards programs. Of course the Senate still needs to mark up its proposed budget, and then the House and Senate must reconcile, but this is an important first indication of where Congress stands with respect to funding for USGS natural hazards efforts. And it is positive news! Thank you for your continued support of this small but relevant program. I will keep the petition open until the final (positive) decision. Any further increase in the number of supporters will be of great help. Best regards to all Eduard
