If you're renting you're getting squeezed everywhere

But no place has more active greed taken a bigger bite than your rent!

Does it seem odd to you that wages have only increased by 14% where landlords (who live off your hard work) have increased rents on average 30% 

THIRTY PERCENT

If rent was only $100 three (3) years ago (I know this is crazy but stick with me) 

It would be $130 today!!!

More likely your rent is $1000, and now it's $1300

I don't have an extra $300 in this economy, EGGS ARE FIVE BUCKS!

Rent is increasing so fast it's outpacing nearly everything 

EVEN THE CARBON TAX! and so many people are screaming about that. 

Let's face it, we live in a sub arctic climate and everyone who works are long day wants nothing more than to go home to a safe, warm, AFFORDABLE place to live.

The upcoming council meeting where I will stand up for Saint John residents is our opportunity to tell council to take profit out of housing

If the profit motive doesn't exist rents can increase at a stable rate and the city can have real estate to borrow against to build more housing. 

Let the city benefit from Buy, Renovate, Rent, Repeat instead of a landlord who is concentrating the wealth in their own pocket.

A city that owns real estate is also a healthy city because as we all know real estate is the greatest wealth generator in Canada!
