Did you know that on June 6, the House Education and Labor Committee approved the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act? This would allow flavored (such as chocolate and strawberry) low-fat and whole cow's milk to continue to be served in schools. Flavored milks are sugar-laden, not to mention all the reasons to not to drink cow's milk in general.

But FARM isn't the only organization fighting for America's school children! In March, the ADD SOY Act (aka H.R. 1619, the Addressing Digestive Distress in Stomachs of Our Youth Act) was introduced to the U.S. House of Representatives with the intention of finally introducing soy milk to the National School Lunch Program and directing the USDA to fully reimburse schools for the cost of the soy milk provided.
