Wow! It’s been less than three days since we launched this movement and we’re already approaching 2,000 signatures! We’ve appeared in news outlets throughout the state and we even made it to the front page of The Topeka Capital-Journal!

Unfortunately, our success has drawn backlash from some of our community members. We’ve been called racist and homophobic slurs and been sexually harassed by our peers.

Let’s be 100% clear, we will not back down. We cannot and will not be silenced by hate and division. If anything, these incidents show that the legacy of Fred Seaman is alive and well in USD 345. We must end our school’s affiliation with Fred Seaman.
