Hi Everyone, Please take one minute and sign this petition to President Biden urging him to authorize the Pentagon to evacuate US military interpreters from Afghanistan. Momentum is building in calling on the Biden Admin to evacuate US military interpreters. In fact, a few days ago several bipartisan members of Congress and 70 refugee advocacy groups and veterans’ groups called on the Biden Admin to immediately evacuate US military interpreters from Afghanistan. But time is running out. The US withdrawal will be complete in a few weeks.

Despite empty promises from the Taliban in recent days to stop targeting US military interpreters, the Taliban has ramped up their violence and killed dozens of US allies killed in recent days. Additionally, the US Embassy in Afghanistan just suspended all visa processing due to a COVID outbreak, even cancelling appointments for Special Immigrant Visa applicants due to be interviewed in the next few weeks. The walls are closing in for Afghan US military interpreters and their families as the US military pulls out and while the Embassy suspends visa processing due to COVID. It is a moral and strategic imperative to bring Afghan interpreters to safety immediately.

Matt Zeller, the veteran who started this new petition, had his life saved by his Afghan interpreter who was then later denied a visa (until members of Congress intervened at Matt’s request). So Matt understands first hand both the service that Afghan US military interpreters provided to US soldiers and the risk to their own lives and their family’s lives. Please join him in demanding that the Biden Admin take action now to save these heroes and their families!

We have evidence that has been a widespread problem with USCIS denying cases of US military interpreters without good cause. So we are fighting to save the Kamran family as well as fighting for more oversight and accountability in processing cases for all US military interpreters.
