Hi Everyone, Muhammad’s refugee case was recently re-opened by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), after continued pressure by several members of Congress led by Democrat Jamie Raskin and Republican Tom Reed.
NBC News reported today (link below) on a new letter that Reps. Raskin, Reed, Jayapal, and Garamendi sent last week inquiring about the family’s case and requesting speedy processing of the case.
In addition to the recent letter, Rep. Raskin questioned former Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen about Muhammad's case in December 2018 in a Judiciary Committee hearing.
