Franklin Graham serves as President and CEO of Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Under his leadership, Samaritan's Purse has met the needs of poor, sick, and suffering people in more than 100 countries. As an evangelist for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, he has led crusades around the world.

In contrast, he has led his followers to outrage against a decision being made by President Obama to erect a monument in Greenwich Village NYC to symbolize their fight for equality.  

He states in his Facebook post: "I can’t believe how far our country has digressed. I hope that the president will reconsider. Flaunting sin is a dangerous move. God’s Word tells us, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34)."

Although he encourages compassion and love in his endeavors with Samaritans Purse,  he has shown nothing but a vendetta against the LGBT (a group that has seen their own share of suffering). He encourages hate, discrimination, and bigotry by his followers.  

Polls have shown  a great acceptance of LGBT now than over a decade ago.  Regardless, Franklin leads hypocrisy.  

The citizens of the United States of America, which was founded on the idea of Equality for all, should only support charities that have mission statements that also support this idea.

I therefore ask for your support in choosing not to donate any time or treasures to the Samaritan's Purse.
