On Our Way To 500

I've got it everywhere on FB, Insta, Twitter, Medium, etc., as well as pasting the link within the comments of articles associated with this. Please do the same, it really helps. As you may have seen, the lift is in place already so I've changed the language of the petition and the letter that is being sent to the US DOI, Ryan Zinke and I added the US Fish and Wildlife Services office. They tout that by encouraging legal hunting it helps to control populations in one area to grow them in other areas. What a load of crap. It is all smoke and mirrors. In one article I read this: "The decision was also based on assessments of how revenue can be generated out of trophy imports and licenses, new species management plan adopted by the government that will establish and enforce firm hunting quotas, and new regulatory mechanisms that should make it easier to track revenue generated from trophy imports (and limit corruption) while turning that money back over into conservation efforts." THIS IS BS! These are some of the most corrupt countries in the world and the president of Zimbabwe is under house arrest right now and being watched by the very people who have been a pillar to the political regime for YEARS. Let's continue on our quest to force our government to do the right thing and reinstate this ban. I've never done anything like this before but seeing all of the support here tells me we are doing the right thing. I took the photo above while on safari in the Eastern Serengeti. This was taken across from our camp, along the Sand River, right on the Tanzanian border. That mountain range in the back is Tanzania. This was one of 3 small herds we saw while there, touring in the bush, for 3 days. It is breathtaking and my heart longs to go back. Our guide left me with this quote that I will always remember: "The Swiss may have invented the watch but time belongs to Africa."
