We have officially surpassed 1,000 signatures! That’s 1,000 people in agreement that we NEED legislation to require breaks at work, rather than leaving it up to employers. If productivity truly is the name of the game, then by not letting workers take breaks, employers are shooting themselves in the foot. 
While we continue to fight for workers’ rights on the national front, it can never hurt to start tackling the issue locally. That’s why I encourage you to write to and/or call your representatives, senators, and even city council members. The worst case scenario is that you receive no response; in the best case, you can get the ball rolling to make a very positive change in your community! 
Our progress thus far is not insignificant - but we still have quite a ways to go in order to better serve the working class and society as a whole. Lets keep fighting - not only for ourselves, but for others without the means to speak up and make change on their own.
