More disparity amongst WWII Veterans

The stories all go the same, Army, Navy and Marines all received benefits that assisted the soldiers in life and future endeavors, but the Merchant Marines who faced similar situations still don't get the same respect, and most are in their 90's now - how can we be so callus?
