Sisters Valentina and Valeria with their mum have escaped from the war zone in Mariupol in Donesk District, Ukraine. The place is still the arena of fights and people are being killed there. The family has lived in Poland since 2014.
Since the arrival they have been doing their best not to be forced to come back to Ukraine. Nowadays, they are trying to ensure their safety by getting international protection. Both sisters study at a non-state secondary school in Warsaw. They achieve good educational results and are actively involved into the school life. They have a lot of close friends and sympathetic teachers.
Although both sisters are really friendly and talented, the war has brutally stopped their opportunities for education and normal peaceful life in their hometown. Valentina, the older sister, is taking A-level exams (matura) this year. She is determined to do well in order to continue her studies.
Take action and support this petition as we cannot agree to expose Valentina and Valeria to the war hazard again.
