On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, we will participate in a phone conference with representatives from EPA District 5 to discuss our next steps.  During this call, we will highlight the success of our petitions to the EPA and to the City, which reflects the strong desire among residents for greater formal representation and involvement in tackling the ongoing issues related to Anderson water and the associated Superfund site.  Additionally, this call will initiate direct discussions with the EPA and later with the City of Anderson in a more structured manner than previous resident initiatives.  Ultimately, we aim to establish a "Community Advisory Group" (CAG), which will consist of a diverse group of residents representing nearly all community interests.  Achieving recognition for the CAG will provide the group, and in turn residents, with vital information regarding activities, action plans, test results, and a platform for more formal input, all with the overarching goal of ensuring safe drinking water in Anderson and the cleanup of our Superfund site.
