Dear Supporters,
Thanks to your incredible support, we've now reached over 250 signatures - but this fight has become even more urgent!
🏗️ NEW THREAT: Construction Development Approved
Since launching this petition, we've discovered that Chestnut Homes has received planning permission for 10 new houses at the end of Garfits Lane.
This means:
- Heavy construction vehicles will use our already damaged lane daily.
- The road condition will get significantly worse.
- The council approved this WITHOUT proper resident consultation.
- Our access to the park will become even more dangerous.
Here's what we're doing about it:
🏛️ Freedom of Information Requests Submitted
We've just submitted official FOI requests to both Boston Borough Council and Lincolnshire County Council, demanding they release:
- Legal documents about their responsibilities for maintaining public access to Garfits Park.
- Historical agreements showing past council contributions to road maintenance.
- Any easements or access rights that contradict their current position.
📅 Responses Due: Early October (they have 20 working days by law)
👥 Residents Organising
Local residents are coming together, and we're planning a public meeting with:
- MP Richard Tice
- Ward Councillor Alison Austin
- Planning Officers
- Representatives from Chestnut Homes
🔥 URGENT: We Need You to Share This Petition!
This is no longer just about potholes - it's about stopping a development that will destroy our lane completely while the council refuses to maintain it.
