BREAST TEST WALES - Women can request their breast density category following breast screening

In WALES, WOMEN CAN REQUEST THEIR BREAST DENSITY CATEGORY FOLLOWING BREAST SCREENING 

This is wonderful news from Public Health Wales, Breast Test Wales: 

In brief: 
-  routine notification of breast density is not currently a requirement of the UK breast screening programme
-  However, Breast Test Wales has recognised the growing interest in this area
-  Women can now request information about their breast density following screening
-  Mammographers advise women at the time of screening that this information is available on request
-  Women who contact the service are informed of their breast density category based on their most recent screening mammogram

We are now working to spread this news so that women know that they can request their breast density when they attend their mammogram screening appointments.
