Dear supporters,
Yesterday, MPs voted against the amendment to keep family reunification. We are deeply disappointed at the result and the lack of compassion that it demonstrates.
However, the fight does not end here. We are extremely heartened by the momentum which the campaign has gained over the past few days - over 20,000 emails were sent to MPs, and we now have over 215k signatures on the petition - all thanks to you supporters.
We have made this campaign public, and MPs have clearly been feeling the pressure. And they have indicated that they intend to put the family reunification commitment into another piece of legislation - which we need to hold the government and MPs to account for.
Will you help today by tweeting Boris Johnson and Priti Patel? If we can show them that we are still holding them to account, we stand a better chance of family reunification being protected in future legislation. You can copy and paste the tweet below or create your own:

Behind all the politics and news, real children are living in freezing, filthy conditions, on the streets and in camps, without any family. Let's ensure that we do not forget them, or allow our government to forget about them too.
Many thanks again to you all - together we have the power to make a difference!
