Thank you for continuing to share the petition.  The more folk the better to lobby Cumberland Council to hold a full debate and full vote on whether to continue in the “process” to “deliver a geological disposal facility”.  aka nuclear dump on and under the Lake District Coast.  Currently this juggernaut is trundling on with the approval of just four Cumberland councillors, there has been no full debate and no full vote.

Some factiods..The heat from existing nuclear wastes and new wastes arriving at Sellafield is currently cooled by around 8 million gallons a day or more  of the Lake District's fresh water. Once emplaced in a "geological disposal facility" the ferociously hot and intensely radioactive wastes now to include plutonium would continue to heat up to 200 degrees c (what happens after that is anyone's guess).
