With the holidays underway and the year coming to a close, many families are still facing delays caused by winter storms, supply chain constraints, and procedural backlogs that has made completion impossible before the deadline.

These circumstances don’t undo the effort homeowners put in, and they don’t invalidate the choices they made. The situation remains real, even with the deadline just hours away.

There is still work that can be done to protect homeowners across the country. Adjustments have been made before when circumstances demanded it. This wouldn’t be the first time leadership updated solar tax policy after the fact. There is precedent for relief when delays are outside of the public’s control, and we hope history informs what comes next.
