Brisbane City Council has now completed its internal review into the handling of the dog attack involving myself and Wilfred.

The review acknowledged aspects of the investigation were “not entirely appropriate and reasonable,” including procedural issues with the handling of the investigation. I also raised additional concerns which have since been directed toward Council’s legal department.

Despite this, no prosecution or enforcement outcome occurred.

As many of you know, Wilfred required emergency surgery and I was hospitalised following the attack. The physical, emotional, and financial impact has been significant.

I am currently in discussions to determine what further legal action may be available.
