Narnia, Nord and Juliet are 3 wild caught orcas living at the Moskvarium in Russia. All three are transients, likely from different pods & speak different languages so communication with each other is probably a barrier for them. Transient orcas are more aggressive toward their submissive pod mates, generally males. In the wild the more submissive members tend to swim on the outskirts of the pod so they can move away from conflict easily. Being youngsters, Juliet and Nord weren't able to learn proper social rules from their older pod mates before they were captured. As they grow up in a concrete tank, without much communication, no learned social behaviors & the stress of not being able to roam or hunt for their natural food source, Juliet is beginning to show aggression toward Nord. Nord has nowhere to go to escape the violent beatings he is receiving from his surrogate pod mate. This is especially alarming when you consider our beloved Tilikum who suffered this same treatment during his earliest years in captivity. Constantly raked, mouthed and slammed against his concrete walls by aggressive females. We all know how Tilikum's life has unfairly played out & the three people he's killed ~ Driven mad by captivity. Nords life is beginning to mirror tilikums life. So far, on almost every level. We can expect the same behaviors from Nord as his existence goes on until he eventually kills a human being or himself. Is it fair to Nord to force him to live in constant abuse? Is it fair to Juliet to force her to live in constant attack mode? Is it fair to Narnia to force her to live in the middle of this & try her best to be the matriarch of a pod that isn't hers & she can't communicate with? She's young herself. Too young to be the matriarch of a pod. Is it fair to take steal these intelligent beings from their families to be clowns for our entertainment! These three need to be released back to their place of capture!
