A huge thank you to everyone who's signed and shared our petition so far, and to everyone who has also written a letter of complaint using the predrafted template or using your own words.

The RSPCA have responded to the online pressure campaign with a Facebook post, which of course only mentions the animals seized who were relevant to the case against the "owner", and doesn't even mention all the healthy animals and their fate!

Please do have a look at the post, read the comments and drop one of your own here:

Below is part of one of my replies to someone who obviously didn't sit through the court proceedings as I did, and doesn't appreciate the nuances:

"... the lady in question is elderly and quite frail but has been doing her best to help animals, that nobody else wanted, for over 30 years now! Recently the main source of funding has been her own pension and during covid she had to cope without the usual number of volunteers - which was when this case against her began.

The RSPCA have picked on a poor elderly person, doing her absolute best but unable to meet 'some' of their standards.

The charges against her were for neglect, not cruelty, and it's a long way from the cruelty which the RSPCA does endorse through its 'RSPCA Assured' scheme! They assure gas chambers for pigs; 'thumping' runt piglets, aka blunt force trauma, and the mutilation of piglets without anesthetic... also factory farms!!

Don't believe that the RSPCA are the good guys they portray themselves to be - they profit from cruelty against farmed animals and seize and put down perfectly healthy animals if they can't be taken on as "pets". They also refuse to release farmed animal breeds to suitable farm sanctuaries..."
