Presentation of Petition to Decision Makers - 9th August 2023 (Link to petition)
Those supporting this petition will ensure that this negligent planning condition is reversed and will only confirm victory when it has been agreed by the decision makers that the following will be actioned:
- The junction at the bottom of Neale Drive (a family residential estate) is kept the same as it is now, a normal T-junction
- Restrictions are enforced so HGVs are not allowed to enter/exit the estate via Ermine Street or the A10
- Keep the exit/entrance to A10 on Neale Drive for residents so this will reduce the volume of cars using Buntingford High Street
- Continue with speed restrictions on Ermine Street (as planned), so all residents are kept safe from danger
It is important that the below information is shared/reiterated with all decision makers at this time:
- All the works due to be carried out are NOT at the cost of the ratepayers in Buntingford. The costs of all works will be paid by Redrow. However, if this negligent planning condition is not reversed at this time and works are carried out - ignoring all facts and dangers raised - those petitioning will continue until justice will prevail through other legal channels. IF works have to be reversed to comply with the above it will then be at the cost of the ratepayers to reinstate the junction at the bottom of Neale Drive to a normal T-junction. This waste of public money can be avoided by doing what is right and safe now.
- All safety concerns raised for Neale Drive in safety audit I have NOT been addressed and completely DISREGARDED in the safety audit II carried out. When challenged in emails raising concerns, these points have been ignored by decision makers.
The Buntingford Residents are prepared to meet, discuss and resolve the negligent planning conditions being challenged. It is important to remember that this can be reversed with immediate effect by the decision makers named to this petition. This is supported as part of this negligent planning condition has already been reversed, by the known decision maker, and the Ermine Street southbound exit will now remain open, documented.
We look forward to hearing from you."
Will keep you posted on responses from these 5 key individuals.
We also wanted to make you aware that, through this petition, a replicable law firm have approached us to represent our case. They have asked to remain anonymous at this time. However, we will provide you with full updates of all legal channels being taken to ensure that this negligent planning condition is reversed, before lives are lost!
