Hello everyone! I wanted to let you know, that WV is no longer involved in the lawsuit Texas v. Kennedy, however, 9 other states enjoined in a similar lawsuit to try to have section 504 declared unconstitutional. Though the threat persists, we were successful making noise, and our Attorney General kept WV out of this one.
Today, I am asking for your help advocating for Public Education funding in West Virginia! The President’s budget proposes billions in cuts to public education which would be detrimental to our schools.
I would love to have you join myself and our education advocates from Free the Future in advocating for public school funding.
Here’s what we are asking our elected officials:
✅ Vote to fully fund IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Act) because it has never actually been fully funded.
❌ Do not vote for federal cuts to public education.
