Dear Supporters,

First and foremost, thank you immensely to everyone who has signed this petition. Your commitment to this cause is deeply appreciated. I apologize for not being as active as I had hoped to be in recent weeks.

Despite my efforts to reach out, I regret to inform you that every member of the council has failed to respond to my individual emails. This lack of engagement is profoundly disappointing.

However, our voices are being heard in the media! Recently, we made the news, but unfortunately, YWKW representatives provided zero updates on whether they have initiated the search for new women's shelters.

For more recent coverage, the YW shelter building was sold to the Region starting July 1st. Disappointingly, there have been no mentions of reinstating it as a women’s shelter. This oversight is a significant concern for our community.
