Subject: URGENT ACTION REQUIRED! Let Jamilah Wrestle!

To the Leadership of the Wrestling Governing Bodies:

I am reaching out to you today with a profound sense of anger, disappointment, and frustration regarding the discriminatory practices currently in place that prevent athletes like Jamilah McBryde and her two sisters from participating fully in all wrestling competitions.

As you may be aware, a petition has been circulating, gaining significant traction, urging USA Wrestling, the IOC, and UWW to reconsider their stance on allowing Jamilah and other women wrestlers who wear the Classic Wrestling uniform as a part of their sincerely held religious beliefs to compete on an equal footing with their fellow female wrestlers.

It deeply troubles me to see such blatant discrimination persisting in our sporting institutions. Wrestling, like many other sports, should be a platform where talent, dedication, and skill are the only factors determining an athlete's success. Yet, time and again, we witness outdated, discriminatory policies and attitudes hindering the progress of deserving individuals like Jamilah.

By excluding Jamilah and women like her from wrestling competitions, not only are you depriving them of opportunities for personal and professional growth, but you are also perpetuating harmful stereotypes and reinforcing systemic inequalities within the sporting community.

Immediate action must be taken to rectify this injustice and ensure that all athletes, regardless of religion, are afforded the same rights and opportunities to compete and excel in their chosen sport.

I implore you to reconsider your position and take meaningful steps toward creating a more inclusive and equitable environment for female wrestlers of all religions. The time for change is long overdue, and we cannot afford to let discriminatory practices continue unchallenged.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I eagerly await your response and hope swift action is taken to address these concerns.
