The Western mainstream press only releases relatively very scant & shallow reporting on the large-scale state-sponsored oppression of minorities, violations of basic rights and program of killings in countries that are not at war, in regions that are without the kind of mayhem & enigmatic security situations like parts of the Middle East from where acts of mass violence in the West can be inspired or initiated from (kind of exceptions that require compromises on how issues are handled and how Western governments treat concerned & consequential regional entities).

Comparative per-capita figures, prevalence, relative scale and relevant context can -- not only help counter outright lies, fake news, cherry-picked figures to blatantly cast the American society in a very bad light -- but also discourage the mis-representation of information and subtle manipulation of how negative reports about the U.S. are cherry-picked up and used against the interests of the American people, democracy and national interests of free societies who adhere to the rule of law and due process. In the international print editions, especially for developing countries, this must be necessary, but I wonder how the online editions intended for American readers can be configured. For serious issues, major or series of news reports that are likely to remain in the active consciousness of the readers / viewers for some days and weeks, maybe some of the readers should be aided to have a holistic perspective in thinking about issues and reports that shape their long-term opinions and attitudes about the rule of law, democracy, and the models of governance in the West (vs China's).

Not all readers are in the upper strata of formal educational attainment, understanding of how the world works and geopolitics, and not all have the time neither the opportunities to search for comparative data. I'm not sure the news organizations know their average readers, and their habits or depth of understanding on issues. Maybe the kinds of readers / viewers with minimum credentials and access to information can be made good reference points. Maybe the Ivy League-credentialed journalists can review their assumptions on who they can't exclude as target readers -- I don't know. But a despot can't pick a copy of the papers, or point to a TV or online news reports and say, just like the Global Times of China: I told you so, they shoot black people in America, and the American people think their leader is so and so and they want him cornered and ousted by all and any means.

Chinese exports in industrial quantity of instantly-addictive "meth" to the Philippines and the world; the mass organ harvesting plausibly still on-going in large-scale in China; the imprisonment or forced political re-education / indoctrination of hundreds of thousands of Uighor Muslims in northwest China; elsewhere, the now standard practices of mass killings for organized crime profits and political gains and to continue to instill fear and effectively exercise dictatorial controls -- these remain shockingly rather unknown to the vast majority if not entire populations in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin and South America who get daily even hourly barrage of bad news and images and reports (from American and Western media) and commentaries of all that's bad in humanity and society being a mix-match of ingredients that make up the American society.

These same populations are being relentlessly exposed to and fed with all kinds of what to them should seem as social filth and squalor that Americans live in. The image of America is that of a social cesspool of bigotry, violence, racial and all kinds of discrimination, corruption, abusive and brutal policemen, weak policing and law enforcement, pedophiles, schools threatened by frequent acts of killings by troubled students, mass shootings, inequality, poverty, public figures with blind partisan stand on issues, irreconcilable divisive forces, deeply divided groups of people who hate each other, hypocrisy and ugly dirty personal politics and politicians. This is of course not the America that you know and that is in reality for almost all Americans, but the kind of America that those who hate, envy and consider the country, its leaders, its institutions as enemies project to vulnerable target audiences and entire populations. These vulnerable populations in rural China, North Korea, rural Philippines and elsewhere don't have a good appreciation of the concept of free press (or the reverse in China, for people in pseudo-democratic countries) much more understand its dynamics.

The United States can't lose it's well-deserved (earned) and relatively fairly-exercised authority in global affairs. It can't let its credibility fall below the minimum necessary in order to keep the present rules-based international order that for the foreseeable future has no practical and better alternative. China is having a boom in its exports of severely corrupt practices and dictatorial models of governance. The lure of a massive market (China's) and potential for (or loss of) much greater profits is becoming not just irresistible but even blinding even to so-called liberal media in the United States and Europe. And the rabid hate of President Trump, that it seems to casual readers of news from the U.S., drown the far more serious issues with leaders in authoritarian and pseudo-democratic countries where tens of millions of people, millions of poor families are being blatantly robbed of their social benefits, denied rights and even brutally murdered by self-righteous feeling-invincible leaders (North Korea).

(This is a 1st draft...)

Not doing so is feeding on the relentless propaganda campaign by the operatives of the Communist Party of China and its People's Liberation Army (and others, for instance, despots and the likes of pro-China Philippine communist movement and extremists) to make a horrible association of the words "America," "Americans," "chaos in the Middle East," "terrorism," "massacre," "bombings," "mass shootings" and even pandemic proportion epidemic of "drug addiction". So many of the powerful, and influential readers and audiences of these media outfits, in the case of the Philippines, are lazy readers and thinkers (severely corrupt officials) or are on the constant look-out for whatever material to use to brainwash poorly educated or gullible targets of misinformation and fake news, same ones vulnerable to the influences of those who foment hatred against the Americans and Westerners overall.

The pro-China Communist-Maoist movement in the Philippines, with its success in converting not a few Muslims to secretly abandon their faith or to work alongside with them in their causes against any Philippine government and the West has long worked to associate the words "America" with "terrorism," "bombings," "chaos," "corruption," "human rights violations" and "hypocrisy". The movement's mighty propaganda machinery is broad and effective at grassroots levels. The propaganda machinery of the Chinese Communist Party and the People's Liberation Army is also actively at work to tightly knit these associations. These groups cry to the heavens, to the Americans and the Europeans when their rights are violated, yet pushed those who brutally suppressed the rights of others and even pushed for killings if only to afford themselves tactical gains from the perpetrators. They use Western institutions to protect their rights, to advance their agendas, to attack the very monstrous criminals they pushed to commit horrible crimes -- as they are by heart and practice patently hating of the U.S. and the Americans, and all Westerners.

The relentless campaign, the horrible association of the words mentioned, is subtly but effectively being used by the communist rebels and Muslim extremists in southern Philippines to negate the USAID and overall U.S.'s government efforts to win the hearts and minds of the people in communities vulnerable to their influence. They are in effect saying that it is the moral imperative of the United States to give aids and help in the NGO work in calamity and conflict areas because the Americans were part of the roots of the problems in these rebellion-plagued areas, and not only the instigators of human-induced crises but the roots of all evil and perpetrators of crimes against humanity in all of the world. Oh, even that natural calamities are the effects of pollution in the West. Among the civil society and knowing classes, the perceived strategic value of the U.S.'s social programs in parts of the Philippines is being diminished, for instance among some sectors and segments of both the Muslim and non-Muslim populations in Mindanao.

The relentless and unforgiving fierce attacks against President Trump is now a threat to intra-country regional security in that it all drowns the other very serious issues in the pseudo-democratic and authoritarian countries for example in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, and Greater China (Hong Kong and Macau). It all contributes to the constriction of opportunities for debates for other more important regional and global issues and threats. The calls for or reports of efforts to undermine some of the policies Trump wanted pursued can inspire some entities and leaders to altogether simply dismiss even righteous and legitimate statements of concerns (and righteous indignation of brutal acts of violence) from respected entities in the U.S. about some issues in other countries because after all it's coming from a "cesspool" kind of a society.

It's not about being anti- or pro-Trump, it's about being an American who also care about global issues, and greater humanitarian issues that afflict troubled or oppressed societies.

===

(This is sensitive, but I'm not sure to include this and other paragraphs not copied here yet.) Their argument of "it's their moral obligation" to do so, for example to help in the reconstruction of parts of Marawi City destroyed by heavy bombings by the government forces to flush out or kill extremists, lowers the value of the U.S.'s aids and donations, and for some of the beneficiaries confirm the propaganda drives of Chinese trolls and Filipino communists that America created and "trained" terrorists, caused the mayhem in all of the Middle East and so they're responsible for the repair of the relevant physical and societal damages.

There's this situation: Communist operatives who can whisper to some key officials in the Philippines (I can't mention a name or names) can cause the latter to issue pronouncements against the West and the U.S., using a twisted logic and again out-of-context and exaggerated human rights violations or practices of discrimination against the Blacks in the U.S. Yet, these same operatives belong to the movement who at the same time (through other fronts) criticize the the very acts of human rights violations of the officials whom they influenced and misinform and who then used their arguments to justify the drastic measures taken (violative of human rights), for example.

These communist operatives would use Western institutions and officials to condemn the human rights violations of the officials that in fact they supported or not strongly condemned if to afford them tactical wins in their ideological and other special agendas. If I were more explicit here, then expect us to be dead soon. The communist movement we learned, and it's more than disgusting, can indeed support acts of violence if to push their influenced key officials to grant them concessions and opportunities that the mainstream population are mostly against and otherwise such cannot be achieved in normal circumstances and without a climate of fear that they helped bring about. If Kim Jong-un were to seize Taiwan, or free their jailed leaders, then if what it takes is for potential dissenters to be silenced, people murdered, then the Philippine communists would do support Jong-un unless he begins to be less accommodating to them. "Leftists" in the Philippines are not like those in the West, many are pro-China, advocate the use of violence in the pursuit of their interests, or are actually Maoist-communists who want an overthrow of any democratically-elected government to replace it with a revolutionary one, finding political shelter in being called "leftists" because the Communist Party is illegal in the Philippines and so is its armed wing.

Sadly, these hopelessly anti-American operatives and brainwashed followers would more likely get favors, favorable treatment and attention, grants and aids from the U.S. government precisely because they're anti-Americans. I don't understand this. Those who foment hatred against the Americans can hardly be nudged into softening their anti-American stand because they're already passionate about their adherence to their causes, ideology and hostile intentions or in socio-political environments and work and personal situations conducive to sticking to their positions. Interventions should be in new and innovative ways. Some of them are even officers of partner agencies of Western aid agencies (Canadian Aid, USAID -- to cite 2), if not directly associated in project implementations of these agencies. They are in far better position than ordinary private-citizens like us to direct NGO benefits and social and aid beneficiaries to their favored target beneficiaries, and they do. Sadly, the Philippines is a severely corrupt society and it's not easy to think about practical alternatives. In the backdrop of Chinese armies of trolls trying to undermine the national interests of target countries, and being comparably superior in their presentation of false narratives, I have decided to come up with this poorly conceived petition, that I thought about and brought to existence in less than 36 hours.

Copy of Petition Letter, Inserted 20 April 2020

There are millions of kids and young people, and entire segments of populations who are being fed with false anti-American narratives by those who foment hatred of the West, Americans all (Republicans and Democrats and all). Most worryingly, entire segments of vulerable populations are being effectively targeted by propagandists to advance their special interests and agendas (exercise of dictatorial powers for selfish personal and political gains, propping a rogue regime by false patriotism, protection of organized crime eco-systems and grave violations of basic rights by weakening international and Western mechanisms to hold powerful big bosses who are public officials, among others).

Communist Chinese rulers, for example, who impose strict social controls and who oppress and murder tens of millions of prisoners of conscience, and other rogue leaders who are disrespectful of basic human rights and inspiring future acts of genocide they have been fiercely forcing the idea of all Americans being unruly, loud and boastful, hypocrites all, fomentors of conflicts and acts of terrors and wars, selfish citizens of the worst kind of a cesspool kind of a dysfunctional divided society.

Are you a Democrat? It doesn't matter who you are, most conservative religious Republican or liberal Democrat or what. To those being led to thoughts that lead to cynicism about America and hatred of Americans and all Westerners, you can simply be an American, part of the roots of all evil in this world.

Thoughts of kids and youngsters today, influenced by those with patent blind hatred of Americans, can lead to acts of crimes and violence even acts of terror against Westerners in the future. CNN, NYtimes, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Fox News -- these Western media organizations shouldn't be platforms of fomenting of hatred against Americans. China's market is like a deadly trap for those who are excessively greedy for short and medium profits from a gigantic Chinese market under grip of severely corrupt power-hungry dictators, regardless of these oppressive rulers' intent on undermining the medium-term and future prospects of maintaining a prosperous society.

We urge you sirs, top executives, owners, officers, stakeholders of U.S. and Western media there are now millions of kids and youngsters in terror-group-influenced constituencies who blindly hate you, and those who caused them to think thos way used your own kind of America and Trump-is-evil-centric kind of reporting without providing contextual data (for example, comparing the U.S. President and his family to rogue leaders and their families who ordered the murder of tens of thousands of their own helpless and poor citizens, though Xi-sanctioned mass organ harvesting in China however also victimizes well-off but nevertheless helpless citizens too).

If we had made the sacrifice of risking our lives in helping correct narratives and fomenting of hatred of Westerners and Americans, using our personal resources even as havingbhelplessly suffered torture and acts of serious crimes over the years, you can also sacrifice some political, hyper-partisan kind of attitude and thinking to help balance the kinds of multimedia, investigative reporting, news reporting and commentaries against perceived and real instances of socially and politically unfair situations in Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Western Europe and all of E.U.

Please provide links to comparayive and relative articles, data, studies, research results about how for example acts of violence and alleged abuses of power compare with similar instances in other countries. President Trump did not order the murder or a single American neither illegal immigrants. He's being accused of making statements that can cause some Americans to think in unfriendly terms of some groups of people or immigrants. But what about those who actually preside over programs of killings of tens of thousands of people, racist programs of forced cleansing of millions of Chinese-Muslims of their religious beliefs and culture, and a plethora of other kinds of practices and state-programs of oppression? Twitter, American billionaires, CNN, BBC, Republican and Democrat investors, New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, Facebook can't be in however nuanced terms and ways be appeasing of Chinese communist dictators who have become deft in using the Western principles of and love of freedom to undermine the Western societies.

China is better engaged, and good ties and links better be preserved with communist Chinese entities, and communist China with it's almost billion-and-half people better not fail, but pursuit of hyper-partisan agendas and profits these intentions concealed in projected-as-noble pursuits should be discounted in the equation because American and other lives are at stake. Inputs to minds of youngsters today, of course translate to are attitudes and behavior tomorrow. If the purpose of appeasement of China's communist rulers was borne out of the perceived reality of Western media being overly dominant in shaping narratives across the world, and that it's fair play and objective to call out Western leaders' alleged wrongdoings, maybe it was, but it was past ot fleeting reality. Americans better wake up to the reality of now millions of trolls, communist propagandists, blind followers of rogue dictator-leaders relentlessly hammering the evil of Americans (not jusy Republicans or moderate Democrats) and their leaders ("Watch CNN," enablers of terror groups would say).

This is a plug, and lazy, but please check how Rian Igos and I, Ernest Barraquias tried to advance this very petition and cause in our Facebook accounts, even as we risked our lives in doing so, and even doing that in odd ways that risked us being perceived as idiots and insane pro-American fanatics. We also did it all in mostly painfully slow internet and intetmittent connection, in very difficult and many times very dangerous places and or situations, even foregoing meals to do so.

When Western and U.S. media call out, relatively rarely, grave violations of human rights of rogue and authoritarian leaders across the world, millions of propagandists of these dicatators say "Look, Trump [Americans, that he represents, not just Republicans] is far worse". Tens of millions of their targets of propaganda believe this in ways that make the rogue regimes seem rather benign. To Western media, it's benign to make shallow and objective reporting on abuses of power of rogue leaders, to those living in rather nightmarish socio-political situations in their societies, it's hope-crushing, because these rogue leaders already have entire media industries on their payroll and or under threats, and mighty government propaganda machineries (oftentimes one and the same or indistinguishable from the latter) to advance their narratives and side of the story.

We press for the Western media to be cognizant of the new reality -- Western media now has far weaker command of the regional and global mass media and information infrastructure now than in the past. Twitter, Facebook and mass media groups are now effective tools for rogue dicatators for planting the seeds of hatred against Americans and Westerners more than these online platforms and mass media groups are effective in countering seeds of hatred and acts of violence. When Facebook blocked, removed Rian Igos' account, that he agreed we also use in our campaigns and platform for feeedom of expression, it was during the time millions of fake accounts and or posts unabatedly dishing out pro-terror, pro-killings, pro-violence, pro-China and outright lies and half-truths and yet its algorithym and need for keeping a good number as base for claims of widespread use of its platform that it carelessly cherry-picked low-hanging fruit of Rian's account to close. To this day, Google does not want to give me back controls of our https://Disrupt.blogspot.com we created partly to counter the mighty efforts of China to bribe and corrupt rogue leaders who can defy the West to advance its geopolitical interests, and waking up the Western media of communist Chinese leaders' active support even of programs of killings and fomenting of hatred and of future acts of violence even genocide if to ram its way and interests in the throat supposedly freedom-loving and Westwrn-oriented democratic societies that fell under dictatorial rule.

Being balanced in reporting also call for a balanced approach in the overall mix or published or broadcast reports. BBC, I found it rather balanced and objective in many ways. To be cognizant of the emerging regional and glonal landscape where already entire mainstream populations are captive readers and audiences for dictator and organized-crime controlled media and information dissemination landscape, it can't be bad and not fruitless to try to re-think matters and assumptions, and institutional tendencies, and then actively, consciously, consistently try to strike the right balance of objectivity in reporting and commentaries based not only on how traditional and partisan and American target audiences and readers but also of the impact on non-Western societies and large segments of mainstream populations already being actively brainwashed based on pro-rogue-regimes' narratives.

We, and I can be wrong on some of my perception and assumptions here. I don't have regular subscription to paid services of mentioned media organizations, and I don't watch or read these media organizations' on a regular basis. However, maybe I read and watch reports and commentaries sufficiently enough to have strong opinions on these concerns. Also, we of course know better about the offline real world realities in at least 1 relevant society and the different micro-realities across highly diverse local societies with diverse culture.

We hope that typing in a small screen, thinking and typing in a non-conducive situation (we're under multiple threats), that having initiated this we are helping save lives and prevent future acts of violence and even genocide. Americans can't keep the kind of relentless barrage of negative reporting about themselves and their elected leaders, without providing comparative context in other societies. To add, do you know that hundreds of millions of brainwashed people regard all "Whites" as "Americans" and all Americans as "Whites"? That President Trump is The Americans, and that Americans are Trump.
