Urge the government of Canada to protect Ryan's rights
The Issue
Ryan is a Canadian citizen, husband, and father to our daughter who remains detained in Dubai while facing extradition to South Sudan. He has not been convicted of the crime, and not given an opportunity to defend himself.
We are respectfully asking the Government of Canada to use all available diplomatic and legal avenues to seek a review of the extradition decision and to help bring Ryan home to Canada, where his legal matters can be addressed through a fair, transparent, and just process.
As his family we are deeply concerned about the potential risks to his safety and well-being if he is extradited to South Sudan. International human rights organizations have documented ongoing concerns about detention conditions, due process, and the treatment of detainees in the country.
This petition is not about avoiding justice—it is about ensuring that the principles of fairness, due process, and fundamental human rights are respected.
Every signature helps send a clear message that Canadians expect their government to protect the rights of its citizens and to advocate for fair legal treatment wherever they are in the world.
Please stand with Ryan and his family by signing this petition and urging the Government of Canada to act.
